How Apostle Johnson Suleman was released after being interrogated by DSS

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the founder of the Omega Fire Ministries has been released by the Department of State Security Service, DSS after being quizzed for hours. This was confirmed by Suleman's spokesperson, Phrank Shuaibu who said the man of God was released before 11 p.m. on Monday.
“The interviews have ended. We have left the facility just now. I will communicate the details later,” he is reported as saying.

It was gathered that Suleman was questioned for statements he made asking his church members to defend themselves by killing Fulani herdsmen.
While speaking to newsmen, the spokesman said the man of God arrived the DSS office at about 7 pm.
“We arrived here (DSS office) this evening, at about 7 p.m. and the people to question him were not immediately available.
“The questioning began about 40 minutes ago. But we are sure that in a short while we will leave this place,” he told PREMIUM TIMES at about 10:00 p.m.

He was released at about 11 pm after being quizzed. His members erupted into jubilation following his release. The DSS invited Suleman following a viral video in which he was alleged to have ordered his members to kill Fulani herdsmen.
The order was given following the massacre of innocent people by Fulani herdsmen in Southern Kaduna. Suleman had urged his members to defend themselves against the killers.
After his release, his spokesman is quoted as saying: “Apostle Suleman has been allowed to go. The DSS exhibited high level of maturity, competence and professionalism."
