How to automaticcaly generate a Sitemap for your xtgem website

I use to be on xtgem platform, and i have experienced many difficulties using their platform as a host, that's why i decided to share some ideas i have gotten from xtgem before i moved to blogger.

Recently, i checked xtgem sitemap and found out that the sitemap xtgem automatically generates is only for their xtgem.com website, that means google always crawl their content more than your own content that you struggled to produce. but, finally i have some tricks that will help in generating your own sitemap and make your content more visible on google.

STEP 1:

Visit https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

enter the full http address for your site example: http://yoursite.xtgem.com

under  Change frequency: None

Last Modification: Use server's response

Priority: None

after setting up the above information, then click on Start and wait for some moments, after the it has finished generating, downloaded the sitemap as Sitemap.xml.gz or you can download the xml version i.e sitemap.xml and compress to gzip with 7zip or winrar.

STEP 2:

Upload the sitemap.xml.gz to your root directory, i.e http://yoursite.xtgem.com/sitemap.xml.gz

After Uploading, Create a robots.txt file with notepad or use http://tools.seobook.com/robots-txt/generator/ to automatically generate one.

after generating then download and upload the robot.txt file to your root directory.

STEP 3:

Here, we need google webmaster tool.

visit the link https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/

sign in with your e-mail and proceed to crawl, under crawl you click on sitemap and input your new sitemap i.e http://yoursite.xtgem.com/sitemap.xml.gz and submit.

after that click back on Crawl, under crawl click robots and submit your robots.txt file.

And finally you are done.

Wait for 2days and see how your traffic will boost.
