Two suspected burglars were flogged mercilessly and beaten in public after they were caught by residents of Idahosa Lane, Off Osasu Asabor Street, by ADP Junction on Airport Road in Benin City on Sunday.
The burglars, it was learnt were in the habit of targeting and
visiting peoples homes when the victims are in their respective
churches. But, having experienced the robbery a number of times, the
residents planned to stay at home while a few went to church. Thinking
it was game as usual, the burglars came visiting before they were
apprehended.
After the beating, they were handed over to the police.
