A 70-year-old man has been arrested by the Kano State Police Command for
reportedly raping the granddaughter of his childhood friend and
neighbour, an offence he has long confessed to.
Briefing newsmen on the incident, DSP Magaji Majiya, Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, said the suspect was arrested at Gaida Fadama quarters for sexually assaulting the eight-year-old girl after giving her N400. “He confessed to the crime and investigation is still in progress,” Majiya added.
