Gov Okorocha unveils giant statue of South Africa president, Jacob Zuma, names road after him and confers him with Chieftaincy Title


South African President Jacob Zuma has been conferred with a chieftaincy title in Imo State.
With both former president Olusegun Obasanjo and Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha in attendance, Zuma was honoured with the traditional title of “Ochiagha Imo” by Eze Imo, HRH Samuel Ohiri.

 A road was named after him and then, a statue of him unveiled in Owerri city. A giant statue of South Africa president Jacob Zuma was unveiled in Owerri, Imo state.

Zuma is on a two-day visit to Owerri, Imo State, South East Nigeria. Governor Okorocha also conferred on President Zuma, the Imo Merit Award, the highest award in the State conferred on distinguished personalities who have made a difference in the development of their communities and to humanity.
According to Punch, Okorocha had revealed earlier that the South African president will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between his Zuma Foundation and Okorocha’s Rochas Okorocha Foundation.
